I’m in Northern Ireland from a week and unluckily the weather has been bad: it rained almost every day and we went out not so much.
Luckily here there are a lot of bars in which you can go even for an entire afternoon, reading and chatting, asking for a coffee or for something to eat and…drawing 😉
In Lurgan, where I stay for the most of the time when i’m here, there’s a place I really like: it’s a little and cozy Coffee House, where you can sip something while sitting on the comfortable sofas or at the tables. Its name is Icons and yesterday I passed there a bit of time to draw the inside, while Stevie was reading and relaxing 🙂
Not only it’s a place where you gladly pass some times, but you can even eat good. We thought that already seeing how many people were inside the restaurant, but yesterday we wanted to try, so we had lunch there.
I had a sandwich with roasted chicken, mozzarella, red onion and horseradish mayo with a side of chips:
Obviously I was curious about horseradish mayo, since I never tried that before. I asked for an extra mozzarella but, alas, I forgot that here it’s grated….my fault, but well. Anyway the sandwich was very appetizing, but nothing compared to the handmade caramel and milk chocolate bun we took with the coffe: Stevie was moved by how good it was! 😉
