At Sagra del Pesce in Camogli with Urban Sketchers Liguria

During my visit to Italy, I often went sketching around, and for two times I met with Urban Sketchers Liguria. The first time was during the Sketchwalk in Genoa, the second when we went to the traditional Sagra del Pesce (Fish Fair) in Camogli.

If you follow Bohemian Wanderer from some time, you know about my love for Camogli, one of the places I love the most in the entire Liguria: every year I pass there some days during the marvellous Festival della Comunicazione (article about FestivalCom 2015article about FestivalCom 2016), and every time I can I go back.

In my Italian trip I was lucky: during the same days I was home there was the annual Fish Fair, an event that every year gets crowds of Italian and international tourists in the little town by the sea, orderly queueing to get a plate of fried fish cooked with a unique giant pan (diameter 4 mt, hadle’s lenght 6 mt). Of course this was the right occasion to go and sketch, so we organised a day trip with pencils and brushes.

Here are the pictures and sketches of the day:
